Technical Assistant:
- Life Science:
- Essential: 1st class three-year Bachelor’s degree in Life science from a recognized University with any of the following subjects – Zoology/Molecular Biology/Biochemistry/Microbiology/Virology/immunology/Biotechnology/Physiology/Botany
- Desirable: Postgraduate in the relevant subject with one year ‘experience in the related field
- Lab Technology:
- 1st class three-year Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology OR
- 1st class three-year Bachelor’s degree in Science with 2-year diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology from a Govt. recognized University/Institute
- Laboratory Animal Care:
- Essential: 1st class three-year Bachelor’s degree in Science with diploma in Veterinary Science/Animal Husbandry.
- Desirable: Postgraduate in Science with one-year laboratory experience for TA(LT) and BVSc & AH with one year experience in Small Laboratory Animal handling for TA(LA)
- Field Investigator:
- Essential: 1st Class three-year Bachelor’s degree in Social Work/Sociology or Nursing or Public Health related subjects.
- Desirable: Postgraduate in relevant field with one year experience in field work related to epidemiological studies, sample collection and data analysis
- Engineering Support:
- Essential:
- 1st Class 3 years Engineering Diploma from a recognized institute with two years of experience in the relevant field OR
- 1st class degree in Engineering/Technology in the related subject from a recognized University.
- Desirable: Should have a minimum of two years experience in undertaking civil electrical/biomedical engineering & instrumentation, For the IT/CS field, experience in programming, and internet network services including e-governance, e-office and website creation
- Essential:
Age Limit(As on 14 August 2023): Not exceeding 30 years.
Age Relaxation:
- Age relaxation for SC/ST, OBC (Non-creamy layer), PWD candidates, Ex-Servicemen and Govt.
- Candidates working in the ICMR-funded projects continuously shall also be eligible for age relaxation up to five years
- Age concessions upto 40 years are allowed to Departmental Candidates and Central Government employees for appointment to Group ‘B’ posts by direct recruitment subject to the usual condition that the Group ‘B’ posts

Selection Process:
- All eligible candidates after the screening of applications and shortlisting shall be called for a computer-based written test which will be conducted through an agency.
- The written test will be of 100 marks objective type MCQ.

- Rs. 600/- in the shape of a Demand Draft drawn in favour of the Director, ICMR-NICED, Kolkata payable at any nationalized bank in Kolkata.
- SC/ST, PwD and women candidates are exempted from paying the application fee.
